Spring Classic Show

The Spring Classic Show was a great success and our thanks go to all our sponsors for the event.
We have numerous people to thank for their hard work and generosity.
Firstly to all our judges and who contended not only with the warm African sun but also with the howling wind that blew every afternoon.
Suellen and Anthony Deane, who traveled from Australia to come and judge our horses and ponies. Thanks also to Rene Le Roux who did all the working classes and stood with Suellen in the showing classes. Also to our show jumping judge, Tanya Pilgrim, who seemed to have an endless number of eager competitors. And lastly, but certainly not the least, to our 2 dressage judges Helen Minty and Justin O’Reilly who were sand blasted after Sunday’s final horses completed their tests.
To our stewards Phil Yeo, Tandi Mardon, Jonathan Cronin and Diane Rooney. The show cannot function without the running and fetching that you do for the judges. Many thanks for all your hours in the sun and wind.
Thanks goes also to Sue Cook for all the assistance and advice, as well as managing the show office.
Harriet Barret who took all the photographs on the day. Please contact Harriet if you would like to find out about the photographs.
Our thanks also to Gill Odendaal for the lovely schedule that we could proudly send out to all our competitors.
Also to our announcers, Mike Bernstein and Pat Yeo, that managed to make themselves heard above the wind and excitement.
Then lastly, our sincere thanks to Jennifer and Eric Bianchi for the wonderful venue as well as Eric’s great course building skills.
I trust I have not forgotten anyone, if so please know that we appreciated all the hard work and many hours that went into making the Sping Classic a great show.

We were also very fortunate to have a list of sponsors that gave generously in prizes and goodies that made all the competitors smile:
